Flicka (pron. "Fleek-a") opened in Norwich lanes in July 2020, founded by me Emma Biggie & my partner Matt Bradshaw. The word Flicka is of Swedish origin meaning 'little girl' - the inspiration coming from our daughter, Isamaya, who was born in 2017.
.
As Isamaya was our first child we were unaware of where to shop for newborn babies, and where to look to for nursery decor and interior pieces. We could find lots of styles and products which we liked online and via social media, and found a style which is best described as clean, simple, neutral and minimalist in design.
We were also keen on sustainable products, such as wooden toys, 100% organic cotton & re-usable nappies, so made it our vision to only source products from suppliers which could offer this.
.
However, we struggled to find this on our high street.
.
Out of this Flicka was born!
.
A baby & toddler boutique with an ethos to provide only high quality, sustainable, organically sourced products. Whilst being completely plastic-free Flicka offers a modern, ‘Scandi’ style which not only fits with the modern day clean and neutral interior styles but also gives children the best products to enhance development and build creative skills.
.
Flicka offers a wide range of baby / nursery interior products from toys, artwork, wall decoration, baby accessories and clothing. All products are hand-picked from brands across Europe who match our ethos. We also proudly support local designers & artists by stocking unique pieces from close to home.
